AVELife TestGold Studio 2.0 (TestGold 2005)
TestGold 2005 – great improvements: free independent light-weight agent for testing, development and use of complex psychological tests with multifactor outcome system, E-Mail testing, 3-Variant Data Storage Engine with the possibility to connect to power database servers, such as Microsoft® SQL Server™, Oracle® or any other database by ADO technology.
The software core has been considerably redesigned: now it is both more flexible and stable. New version brought great test format and many other improvements. Free testing program AVELife TestGold Agent is independent now and can be used both on network and local computers, that permits distant testing of students and staff
Changes in version 2.0:
- All tests are available for testing and editing even in trial version of the software;
- Great test format improvements: free formatted test introduction with display limitation by time and period, combinative method of outcome definition, development and use of complex psychological tests with multifactor outcome system as total summary, accentuation discovery, most and least expressive factors + optional comprehensive analysis;
- New 3-Variant Data Storage Engine empowers users to choose the most preferable place for storing the application data. It can be special local file storage, default MS Access® database or the database, specified by ADO Connection (Microsoft® SQL Server™, Oracle® database or any other one, accessible via OLE DB providers and ODBC-drivers, installed on the computer).
- E-Mail testing - test session data can be sent to supervisor by e-mail automatically before test session result dialog box opens or manually by user from the dialog or later; the supervisor can load received data for further review and analysis;
- Total Summary - a new function of vertical analysis of testing results in the context of some user, including both psychological portrait and overall picture of professional skills and knowledge of the person;
- Independent Agent for Testing - Free testing program AVELife TestGold Agent is independent now and can be used both on network and local computers, that permits distant testing of students and staff;
- Built-in converter for import of test blank from text files in RTF or TXT format;
- TestGold Direct – Internet Channel for Direct Access to TestGold Tests, News and Resources;
- Making test variants on the basis of some educational test;
- Test blank form improved;
- Password protection of the software configuration;
- Possibility to control unauthorized attempts of testing by means of requirement of automatic sending of notification about beginning of test session to supervisor by e-mail;
- Optional saving test session data;
- Registration of testing attempts (terminated test sessions);
- New group of configuration options User Request added; now the tested person can be recognized by access account automatically;
- Appearance improvements (new styles: AVELifeColorAdaptive2, AthenTristan, AthenTristan2, AthenRedMenu, AthenBlackMenu added and etc.);
- Multiple Document Environment improved;
- Text editor improvements;
- User action "Running test session" can be repeated now;
- The software activation changed;
- Many minor improvements.
